Friends of the Scenic Drive

Friends of the Scenic Drive works to maintain, enhance, and protect the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive, an area landmark since 1963. Volunteers build and post plant identification signs, maintain exhibits, work on enhancement projects, and conduct regular cleanups clearing 13 miles of roadside litter. Projects include roadside revegetation, painting of utility boxes, and efforts to reduce visual pollution.
