The Career Builders Program is a partnership and collaboration between the Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce and the Cactus Shadows High School Career and Technical Education Department.

Cactus Shadows High School seniors are matched with a local Chamber member business to job shadow, intern and obtain work experience.

It also provides local businesses the chance to help our youth to prepare to be contributing members of the workforce.

Job Shadowing and Internship programs enhance the employability of youth by allowing youth to see what working in a field is really like and providing the real life forum for discussion of various careers and their required skills.  Through the career builders program, youth gain greater clarity about academic and vocational options and opportunities.

In addition, these students that are employed by a Chamber member business are eligible to submit an application to the Chamber for a chance to win the CTE Achievement Scholarship given to a Cactus Shadows High School senior.  Each year a $3000 scholarship is given to one student selected by the Chamber scholarship committee.
