GIVING SPIRIT OF DESERT FOOTHILLS LIBRARY’S DONOR REWARDS PROGRAM

The spirit of giving and community partnership is flourishing at the Desert Foothills Library, a 501(c)3 nonprofit community-funded library, with a new donor rewards program supported by local area business partners. Individual donors who contribute $40, and families $70, or more annually to the Library will receive a rewards card giving the holder a 10 percent discount on goods and services at participating restaurants and other business.

It is easy to make a tax-deductible donation and get your rewards card at the Desert Foothills Library at 38443 N. Schoolhouse Road, Cave Creek, or online at dfla.org.

Encouraging the reciprocity of giving and receiving, this new program incentivizes purchasing from local merchants who support the library while increasing sales and new customers. Providing a way to thank donors and community partners, the program also helps increase minimum level donations for the Library, which is almost entirely dependent upon contributions.

Participating merchants include Alberto’s, Black Mountain Café, Corrado’s Italian Restaurant, English Rose Tea Room, Giordano’s, Harold’s Corral, Indigo Crow, Lemon Drop Mediterranean Restaurant, Tech 4 Life, The Grotto Cafe, UPS Stores – Carefree/Cave Creek/North Scottsdale and Venues Cafe. With more businesses joining the program, donors may check dfla.org for an updated list of reward partners.

“I am pleased to launch a rewards program that gives back to the community and business partners who have supported and made us part of the cultural framework in the Foothills area of Carefree, Cave Creek, North Phoenix and North Scottsdale,” said David Court, Desert Foothills Library Executive Director. “The ongoing financial support allows us to maintain the library collection and add more educational and cultural programs, and special events.”

“As a donor, volunteer and business partner, I have seen how the Desert Foothills Library encourages culture, education and community for people of all ages,” said Jo Gemmill, Desert Foothills Library board member and owner of English Rose Tea Room.

Recently, donations and a five-year expansion strategy provided 52 much-needed parking spaces and the current construction underway to increase the size of the building. These exciting renovations and new additions will position the Library for current and expected growth in the future.

The Desert Foothills Library is open seven days a week and serves the entire Desert Foothills community with culturally enriching programs, educational events and quality services. For more information or to make a tax-deductible donation, visit dfla.org or call 480-488-2286.
